Thanksgiving for the birds too

It may be Thanksgiving week for those of us in the United States, and food plays a huge part of our celebration.  Today we took time to see that the birds had enough food this week too.   We refilled the bird feeder then gave them an added treat by coating pine cones with peanut butter and sprinkling birdseed on them, which we hung from a couple of trees around the Little Cove.

If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans.  ~~ James Herriot

    1. That is definitely our reward. We have three feeders plus the pine cones out here for the birds. One a neighbor keeps filled with peanuts which the crows and bluejays enjoy, then we have two more with wild seed. I could sit and watch them all day.
